Our story
Welcome to Pawsonal Walks! We are George and Lida, a husband and wife team dedicated to providing exceptional dog walking and boarding services. Our journey into the world of pet care is deeply personal and rooted in our own experiences with our beloved family dogs. Sadie, a gentle Sheba mix, and Spot, a spirited Jack Russell Terrier, were more than pets; they were a part of our family through the joys and challenges of raising our two children. They shared our lives for many years, providing companionship and endless memories.
Tragically, at the beginning of the pandemic, we faced the heartbreaking loss of both Sadie and Spot within a month of each other. The void they left was immense, and while we grieved, we also yearned for the companionship and joy that dogs bring to our lives. Yet, not ready to replace our cherished pets, we sought a different path that would allow us to honor their memory and fill our home with the love of dogs without immediately committing to owning another one.
We turned to Rover.com, initially signing up to walk other people's pets. This decision opened a new chapter in our lives, one that allowed us to experience a variety of breeds and meet many wonderful dogs and their owners. What started as a temporary venture quickly grew into something much more significant. Before we knew it, we were boarding and walking dogs regularly, and the response from our community was overwhelming.
The work has been incredibly rewarding for both of us. Working together, we ensure that one of us is always there to care for our guests, providing them with nearly constant companionship and attention. As avid exercise enthusiasts, we take great joy in staying active with our furry clients, each walk or stay providing a new opportunity to learn the unique characteristics of each dog and to ensure they feel happy and comfortable under our care.
At Pawsonal Walks, every dog we meet becomes part of our extended family. We look forward to meeting you and your precious family member, sharing in the care and joy they bring, just as we once shared our lives with Sadie and Spot.
Warm regards, George and Lida
